I have to say, I’m always intrigued by quaint eateries, and of course those promising a GOOD Gluten Free option!
On the east side of Gastown is a little eatery called Ask for Luigi. It took over the space of Two Chefs and a Table, which is a cute little corner location along Alexander St.
This little eatery is quaint, offers friendly service and has a terrific small menu. How about the Suppli al Telefono for a starter – ricotta stuffed risotto sticks with a fresh tomato sauce (I almost stole my friends portion). And everything is meant to be shared in a family style way. Next we shared the Linguini with Mussels… with Gluten Free pasta! Apparently they make pasta fresh daily! I don’t think I’ve had a better GF pasta -truly fabulous! Plus, there are four simple on tap choices to enjoy with your meal, I enjoyed a $6 glass of Prosecco (pretty decent don’t you think?), plus a red and white wine as well as a beer.
And to finish off a great visit in a full eatery, we shared the Panna Cotta with stewed prunes and a delicious espresso.
Put this great place on your eating out list-delicious, simple and quaint, a great experience!
