Do you ever find it a challenge to find a local wine that is under $20 and good? Well of course, because there aren’t too many under this price here in BC. Until now.
Have you heard of Clean Slate Wines? Located in Naramata, this little winery has recently changed their name to Lock & Worth.
Therefore, the old name is going away and they have lots of wine to move.
And don’t think that because it’s inexpensive it’s mediocre. Their White Slate wine, is actually a light, refreshing blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon. Notes of lemons, citrus, and a hint of grass-it’s a perfect patio sipper for our soon to arrive summer weather!
I’d recommend you give it a try, and then stock up. Their Red Slate Gamay is also on sale, expect another lighter style and body for this one. And keep in mind the winemaker is young and passionate and someone to watch. His wines will only get better – with a “clean slate” and a new name!
