TWB (The Wine Bar) in Yaletown

Before happy hour was officially launched in Vancouver, there was this quaint, yet modern placed called TWB, attached to Provence Marinaside offering small bites at reasonable prices and specials on wine throughout the week. Did you know this?

The room is modern yet welcoming, with a view facing south onto the marina. It offers high top tables, low seating and a patio with a cozy couch area or tables. And throughout the week there are specials from 3 bites for $10 on Mondays to Fridays and Saturday 25% off bubbles.

IMG_3634There is a great wine selection representing BC and the rest of the world, and even better is the prices are not outrageous. This visit we had Muga Rosé from Rioja, Spain. Deliciously fresh, with citrus and berry notes and balanced with some minerality.

Definitely try the grilled squid, risotto balls, grilled artichokes, boccocini wrap, the grilled avocado with shrimp and the chicken skewers. However, they do rotate the menu items due to seasonal availability.

So whether you are showing friends and family around the city or meeting friends after work or in the evening for drinks, do add TWB to your list of places to go. A great view and atmosphere, great food and drinks without breaking the bank!
