On a cool evening I was craving comfort food. I was craving a Bolognese sauce and pasta (my favourite). So I found one that was easy and extremely flavourful – from Jamie Oliver.
I paired this rich and flavourful dish with an equally intense wine.
Fortissimo 2008 (a take on a super-tuscan)
Notes of Cassis, blueberry juice, vanilla, hint of minerals, coffee, black licorice. Bold, yet balanced.
A new vintage is available at Private Liquor Stores, or direct from LaStella Winery.
