Well, if there is one new place you need to dine at, it’s definitely AnnaLena. And I am not just saying this because a wine friend and fellow wine geek did the wine list (her first one!), it’s because this place has a story, and a soul.
The wine list has some good ones by the glass, but perhaps a bottle is the way to begin your evening! We shared a bottle of this delightful Pierre Peters Grand Cru Champagne.
Here are the dishes we enjoyed, along with sippers of many glasses of wine to match (because we couldn’t decide!)
oysters, shaved foie gras, compressed apple, jalapeño mignonette
~
deep-fried sweetbreads with an onion jam (probably the best way to enjoy this dish)
~
bison tartar, egg yolk two ways, watercress purée, potato crumb, sweet onion loaf (top)
garlic confit lobster, seared mirepoix, potato, lobster bisque, lemon gel (bottom)
~
seared trout, roasted carrot, pickled cabbage purée, charred onion, chive butter sauce
